Among sports people, creatine is perhaps the best-known supplement, and it contributes to provide energy to cells (especially muscles), helping the formation of the primary energy source for muscle activity: ATP (adenosine triphosphate). BITTER MELON
Bitter gourd (or bitter melon or Momordica charantia), a plant that grows in tropical and subtropical areas, has shown interesting characteristics in stimulating insulin sensitivity. This makes it a valuable tool for inducing creatine absorption from the blood into the muscles. Bitter gourd can lead to a prolonged increase in muscle absorption of nutrients such as creatine, for hours after ingestion. Other research has shown that bitter gourd is useful in mobilizing fats for energy purposes, through beta-oxidation (metabolic process for the degradation of fats). Everyone knows that fat is an excellent source of energy, but sometimes the body forgets how to use it. Momordica charantia helps us remember it.

BERBERIS
Berberis is a small shrub, whose alkaloid, enhances the effectiveness of other plant extracts blended/formulated with it.
Berberine is an interesting substance for athletes, as it stimulates glucose uptake in the muscle cell, improves insulin sensitivity and can reduce glucose production in the liver. This helps to improve energy production and muscle efficiency. In synergy with creatine, berberine helps to transfer nutrients into muscle cells, allowing carbohydrates to be used as energy without being stored as body fat. Another point in favor of berberine is that stabilizing blood sugar levels helps to increase the available energy, making glucose more available as fuel and preventing sudden glycemic drops.

CINNAMON
Cinnamon is an evergreen tree, and its spice is obtained from the bark of the stem and twigs. It has been observed that cinnamon extract mimics the effects of insulin and consequently helps creatine absorption. Cinnamon increases insulin binding in muscle cells, leading to better absorption of creatine by muscle fiber. Everyone knows that when creatine is taken with simple sugars, it’s absorbed faster, because, when insulin is activated, it allows glucose and creatine to be eliminated from the bloodstream and absorbed more quickly into the muscle tissues. However, who wants to add simple sugars to their diet? It is right here that cinnamon comes into action. FENUGREEK
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.) is a plant with interesting sports “aspects.”
The extract of the Fenugreek seed activates the insulin receptor, creating an effective system to improve creatine absorption without having to consume simple carbohydrates. This plant extract has also been shown to increase bioavailable testosterone, improve endurance and promote longevity. Fenugreek improves creatine absorption, a result comparable to when creatine is ingested with a carbohydrate source. In the 1990s it was discovered that creatine muscle uptake could be increased by associating it with high glycemic index carbohydrates (causing an insulin response), as insulin helps to transport creatine and other nutrients into muscle cells. This is why most of the creatine products on the market include sugar or some other form of carbohydrates. Fenugreek extract naturally activates the insulin receptor, creating an effective process to improve creatine absorption without having to take carbohydrates. Fenugreek also helps to improve performance, testosterone, and endurance.
