Cow milk can easily be replaced with products of plant origin. More precisely, vegetable milk has better nutritional characteristics than those of cow milk: soy milk, rice milk, oat milk, and almonds, Just give it a try…..

Meat does not contain fiber but is full of cholesterol and fat. The WHO estimates that 130 million people in Europe are affected every year by food poisoning and declares: the highest risk is the production of animal food, from which arise the most severe health hazards. For example, the salmonella contamination, campylobacter, poly, and yersinia Escherichia. It is also known to be the cause of many types of cancer, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes mellitus, and cholesterol.

They say milk is good for the bones but who says it should be better informed … Milk is an ideal food, but only for the infant and only human milk. Cow’s milk is like a “loan shark who gives you a loan, and if you don’t give him back everything with interest, he sends you a thug to break your bones.” Milk contains calcium but also acidic animal proteins, which consume calcium to be disposed of; milk proteins added to those coming from meat and fish, force the body to remove calcium from the bones, to provide for their disposal. Milk lends some calcium but eventually consumes more than it gives.

To fully grasp how unnatural, it is to drink animal milk and to consume dairy products. Think this, milk is a food that every mammal should feed only until weaning, not beyond, and each species must drink its specific milk because only that of its species contains the correct proportions of proteins, water, fat, lactose. A puppy of one species can not drink the milk of another, so much so that even for human infants, the milk used when a mother is unable to breastfeed is indeed not cow milk (which would endanger the life of the child), but an artificial milk, called “formula milk” or “adapted milk” that resembles human milk closer. Why should we drink milk after weaning, and moreover of another species? Precisely because milk is made for newborn mammals, it is not a food suitable for an adult, or even for a child of a few years. Human beings have an aptitude for adapting to unnatural behaviors, which goes against their physiology. Not for nothing, in the world about three-quarters of adults are lactose intolerant, because they’re deprived of an enzyme (lactase) necessary to act on the sugar that is found in milk (lactose); this prevents them from properly digesting milk and leads to more or less serious digestive system diseases.

Finally, there are problems related to the simple hygiene and diseases that dairy cows suffer from. Many cows suffer from mastitis as they are forced to produce 10 times the amount of milk needed to feed their calves. Farm animals are unhealthy animals as they are kept in suffering conditions, and kept healthy only thanks to a large amount of drugs and antibiotics mixed with the food fed. Therefore, cow milk is a very unhealthy substance, containing various kinds of drugs, accumulated in the body of the animals themselves. So, how welcoming do milk and other dairy products sound like now?

An egg… a concentrate with fat and cholesterol. 70% of their calories come from fats, most of it is saturated, an egg also contains much cholesterol of about 200ml for a medium-sized egg. What are the advantages of our planet when we consume plant proteins? Well, each year hectares of forests are cut down to give way to the pastures for cattle, all this to produce meat and derivatives. Also, 90% of the cereals produced, are intended to feed animals and not humans. On average, to produce a kilo of animal proteins, about 16kg of plant proteins are needed, proteins that could be used to feed 840 million human beings (above all children), and instead, these proteins are destined for a bankrupt production that only enriches the capitalist system. Lastly, 70% of the water used on the planet is consumed by animal farming management and agriculture. This is including water used by crops, on irrigated land, the water needed by animals and water use for stable maintenance. A dairy cow drinks 200 liters of water a day, the average cow and horse drink 50 liters, a pig drinks approximately 20 liters and a sheep consumes about 10. Knowing this, how could you have any doubts after all?

It is a disease that causes calcium loss from the bones and affects women more frequently than men, especially after menopause. The populations that consume cow milk and its derivatives also have the highest number of fractures and bones in the worst conditions. If the milk does us good, as they want us to believe, then those who consume milk should have a stronger and healthier bone structure, but it is not so. Several studies have shown that women 50 years of age and over living in dairy-intensive countries, such as USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, have one of the highest rates of hip fracture in the world. Therefore, a plant-based diet without animal proteins is best to keep bones healthy. Exercise is also critical in this respect.

We cite the official position of the American Dietetic Association and Dietitians of Canada, two of the world’s leading nutritionist associations, who have written a document whose initial statement reads: “properly planned vegetarian diets, including total or vegan ones, are healthy and adequate from the nutritional point of view, and can offer health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. Well-planned vegetarian diets are appropriate for individuals in all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, first and second childhood, adolescence and for athletes. “

When it comes to protein powder, there’s a spontaneous association with animals. Cow whey is by far the most popular product on the sports nutrition market. Today 70% of the proteins consumed in the world are of animal origin while the remaining 30% is obtained from plant sources. We support the latter, and this 30% is destined to grow in time because they are morally contrary to the consumption of products of animal origin. They’re becoming increasingly attractive even for non-vegans who suffer from intolerances and allergies to dairy products. Also, those who think or are convinced of the benefits provided by the plant kingdom benefitting the greater good of humanity and the planet.
